Templates first, work second
Before any modelling starts, the studio should be working inside your templates: your title block, your sheet sizes, your layer standards, your part numbering scheme. This takes half a day to set up once and saves every project afterwards.
Revision control is not optional
Every sheet carries a revision letter, a date, a drawn-by and a checked-by. Superseded revisions are retained, not overwritten. If your outsourcing partner cannot show you the revision history of a drawing from eighteen months ago, they are not running a register — they are running a folder.
